Shipping & Distribution Policy

Effective Date: April 6, 2026

1. General Logistics Overview

Buyoil.com operates a highly sophisticated supply chain network, utilizing Tier-1 freight carriers and parcel services to ensure the secure and timely delivery of high-performance lubricants and industrial fluids. We prioritize safety, regulatory compliance, and transparency throughout every stage of the fulfillment process.

2. Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Compliance

Many of the specialty lubricants and industrial chemicals distributed by Buyoil.com are classified as Hazardous Materials (HazMat) under Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) and IATA air transport standards. As a result, shipments containing these materials may incur specialized handling surcharges dictated by the carrier. All HazMat deliveries are strictly accompanied by required Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation. Please note that certain high-flashpoint or corrosive materials are restricted from air transport by federal law and will automatically default to ground freight delivery.

3. Freight Shipping, Residential Deliveries & Liftgate Services

Bulk orders, including 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon IBC totes, are dispatched via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight. Freight carriers mandate a strict distinction between commercial and residential deliveries. A commercial address must be zoned commercially and equipped with a loading dock or an on-site forklift. Any location failing to meet these criteria, including home-based or farm-based businesses, will be subject to a mandatory Residential Delivery Surcharge assessed by the carrier. Furthermore, if your delivery location lacks the equipment to safely remove heavy pallets from the truck, you are required to select a "Liftgate Service" during the checkout process. Failure to request a liftgate when necessary will result in the carrier refusing delivery, thereby incurring redelivery fees or terminal storage charges entirely at the customer’s expense.

4. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) & Refunds

To safeguard the integrity of our chemical supply chain and guarantee absolute product purity for all customers, Buyoil.com enforces a strict returns protocol. Absolutely no returns will be accepted without a formal, written Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued in advance by our support team; unauthorized shipments will be refused at our receiving dock. Most importantly, we maintain a strict no-return policy on any container where the original factory seal has been tampered with or broken. This is a non-negotiable safety and quality assurance measure to prevent cross-contamination. Approved returns of unopened, alongside the cost of both original and return freight. Customers returning HazMat items are fully responsible for ensuring the return shipment complies with all applicable DOT transport regulations.

5. Shipping Damage & Claims

Upon arrival, the receiving party must thoroughly inspect all pallets, drums, and containers for signs of leakage, transit damage, or tampering. Any detected damage must be explicitly noted on the carrier's Bill of Lading (BOL) prior to signing for the delivery. To initiate a carrier claim, you must notify Buyoil.com within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear digital photographic evidence of the damaged goods. Claims submitted without proper BOL notation or outside of the 24-hour window may be denied by the freight carrier.
